Originally from Israel, 14-year-old Maya Gamzu began singing at 3. In 2018, Maya’s family moved to Canada where singing songs in English helped Maya learn the language and adapt to a new country. I had a great time performing Think by Aretha Franklin at StarSchool Academy’s year-end Gatsby Jazz Night. It’s a powerful song with so much attitude, and getting to sing it live with such talented musicians made the whole experience even better. Definitely a fun way to wrap up the year.
